Another important part of the holidays for our family is entertaining guests and infusing our home with warmth. Then everyone who visits feels the spirit of the holidays as soon as they step through our door.– Randi
My family and I decided to host a hot cocoa night for family friends to come grab some warm cocoa and look at lights. We get to spend time with loved ones and our family which is the most important gift of all that brings us all some much needed peace and joy.
I created a hot cocoa charcuterie board, since my friends could not stop talking about charcuteries – I wanted to surprise them with a hot cocoa theme.
I decorated my hot cocoa station with a nostalgic vibe so I could infuse the feeling of how it use to be when we were children during Christmas and enjoying my grandparents over the holidays. Since our grandparents are not longer with us, I felt JOY brining in pops of a retro look to honor past Christmas' with them.
I picked my theme, focused on the feel I wanted and went from there, layering with our favorite treats.
I found yummy peppermint spoons, icicles, peppermint marshmallows and even a kid friendly hot cocoa kit – then each kid could use it to make their own.
This amazing 12 worlds of cocoa (we tested them all out and loved the flavoring), hot cocoa bombs, holiday sprinkles and more to add the extra touches that both kids and adults would love.
Of course I added in our favorite Christmas cookie to add in as a topper.
